Flood waters rise and seas surround
Fighting wild waves in vain
And as I drown beneath the tide
I search for a drop of rain
Burning bushes surround me
I call for lightning from the sky
I’m surrounded by your presence
But still looking for a sign
Manna falls from heaven
the sea parts before me
The Lord’s word sits in our laps but
we want a riddle over a story
Sometimes it’s hard for me to see You
As a great pillar of cloud and flame
Looking past miracles while searching for signs
I was seeking in the wrong place
Mopheth – a wonder, sign, or portent. Hebrew: מוֹפֵת (mo-faithˈ)
